Some few ages ago, I depicted Yoğurt to be a sad, lonely, and sick girl. There was a slight hint of absolute pity for the character. I didn’t want that. That was not what I wanted for her.

The last few comics marked the start of the “new” Yoğurt Project, as well as a departure from the depressing tone I had painted in the past. This started shortly after February 2011, if you have been following me. With this comic, I shall introduce the long-awaited new character. Nope, no fireworks or grand entry would be made.

Berry, or Gabriel if you may, becomes one of Yoğurt’s closest friends shortly after introduction. This comic assumes that they have met earlier, albeit off the wrong foot. Berry inadvertently pulled some name-calling to point out Yoğurt’s eating habits. As he proceeds to apologize, Yoğurt decides to give Gabriel a nickname as well. Unlike Berry, Yoğurt did so in good intention and in a rather playful attitude.

Berry is a very straightforward person who tends to see the technical side of things. This contrasts with Yoğurt’s artistic and fuzzy mindset. He is also incredibly smart and does well in class. He is a little more outgoing than Yoğurt, but he clearly shows no interest in taking the spotlight. He can be a bit bossy at times, kind of like a strict parent.
