Mother’s Day - Thank you Mama!

Happy Mother’s Day, Mom!
And to all mothers out there, I wish the best for you as well!

Here’s another simple Yoğurt comic for mother’s day. Yoğurt’s mom passed away when she was quite young. Nevertheless, Yoğurt thanks her for bringing her up into this world, even though she had spent little time with her. I wonder if Yoğurt herself will grow up to be a good mother… I’m quite sure she will.

I’d like to say that I’m improving my art, but drawing only quick doodles and comics make it very difficult to notice any change. Again, yonkoma and comics aren’t something that I’m used to. Excuse the overly simplistic writing.

I find this comic to be a little happier than whatever I came up with before. Perhaps what struck me the most was the picture in last cell. Yoğurt’s mom was wearing the same hat that Yoğurt’s wears now. It made me feel like Yoğurt, despite having little contact with her mom, embodies her mother’s maternal instincts. Ideally, her mom still lives on from within her.
